Birth Photography

Capturing your birth story: the quiet moments, the intensity and the beauTiful messy details in between.

Birth Photography is still a bit of a taboo, which in my opinion is all the more reason to embrace it! It isn’t for everyone, but you’ll know if it’s for you.

There’s an intimacy about having these precious moments captured, it’s raw, and powerful, and it’s all about you. No matter how or where you choose to birth, my job is to tell the story from the moment I arrive.

Your journey into parenthood for the first time, or the next, deserves to be captured and held while you birth your bundle earthside.

How does it work?

When you inquire, I’ll reach out and we’ll arrange a phone call, to make sure that working together is going to be the right energy for you. I can work in and around the Helensburgh, Scotland area so of course we will need to check travel arrangements too. Then, once we decide to go ahead, I’ll come meet you, either for coffee or at your home, and bring all the essential forms and questions to make sure I can tell the story you want to create.

We’ll arrange for a maternity photoshoot (as long as you’re up for it) so I can get to know you a little more, and so you can have some captured moments before your little one arrives.

I’ll be on call from the time you’re 38 weeks until baby is born, and once I’m with you, the storytelling begins.

how much does it cost?

My birth support package starts at £1397 which includes a maternity photoshoot,  birth story, professional editing and digital images.

You keep all the digital images, I don’t cap them because they are, after all, the documentation of your journey, and you deserve that in its fullest.

There is a non-refundable deposited of £400 when you book me, which secures your ‘date’ and means I block off those weeks to be on call. The rest is due by 38 weeks with payment plans available.

Every birth is the beginning of a new story, and every story deserves to be told.

Sharing these stories is something that generationally we have lost, the conversations around birth are either factual and formal or painful and quiet. Often the power, joy, love, tears, strength and overwhelm are either forgotten or unspoken. Through birth photography, these words we cannot say are found in images that can be incredibly healing. They are a gift, for you, and your descendants.
